The new icons of Venezuela is a series of illustrations offering a critical interpretation of certain myths and (anti) values observed by the author, common to most symbols associated with the present Venezuelan identity.

 

 

The seven images that compose it imitate an archaic engraving style that calls for a certain inherent parallelism between the main characters of the 19th and 20th century Catholic religious prints, and other personalities and heroes from Venezuelan culture.
